Hip-Hop Rumors: Young Jeezy Crashes Lambo! Budden To Shady? Obama Lkes ...
I was told that Terrence J and Rocsi of BET's “106 & Park: might be replaced. Now, that's what people are saying, but it might be, because a casting call allegedly went out for the show new talent. I'm going on record with this: I like Terrence J & Rocsi and I'm not really interested in seeing new people. Sure, I still love Free, but that's a lost cause. Anyway…as always, we'll see! On the Free tip, I heard she is also working with Obama on his campaigning BUT THIS IS NOT TRUE. Just wanted to clear that up! YOUNG JEEZY CRASHES LAMBO Young Jeezy is one of the trap's biggest stars! But, if he doesn't learn to handle that Lambo, he's gonna be trapped behind that wheel! I don't know when this happened, but they are listing Jeezy's white Lamborghini as a fancy car that was demolished.
Managing your business in a downturn
How Merck Healed Itself"). Another area to build on is personnel. It may seem counter-intuitive to pay bonuses when profits are falling, but sometimes it's the right thing to do, particularly if a specific unit is creaming the competition. Rewarding excellence - through new challenges, public recognition, and, yes, money - in bad times as well as good builds loyalty. In fact, a downturn can be an excellent time to poach; people who might have stuck with a company because of vested options or other monetary incentives may be more willing to consider joining your company when those vanish. In general, I am against cutting salaries as a first resort. If that has to happen, though, top management absolutely must suffer a cut too. For boards, a downturn is an excellent time to take a hard look at CEO pay and ensure it is structured in a way that rewards genuine performance and does not simply piggyback on a rising market.
Facebook and Plaxo in data portability tussle
Scoble reported on his blog on Thursday that he received a notice from Facebook saying he had violated the site's terms of service. He had Facebook's maximum of 5,000 friends on his account. However, Scoble later announced that Facebook had reinstated his account. Plaxo planned to roll out the feature later this month to users of its Plaxo Pulse service, but those plans are now up in the air because the company doesn't want other Facebook members to get kicked out of the site like Scoble, McCrea said. He acknowledged that Plaxo didn't consult with Facebook while designing and testing this feature. Plaxo's Facebook Importer can't function properly using just the application programming interfaces (APIs) Facebook has made available to third parties interested in creating applications for its social networking site, said Joseph Smarr, Plaxo's chief platform architect.
Vote for sales tax is a vote for children, superintendents say
MARION — A vote in favor of a sales tax referendum on Feb. 5 is a vote for the children of Williamson County say the school superintendents of Marion, Herrin, Carterville, Johnston City and Crab Orchard. The quintet called a press conference Wednesday at the Unit 2 office in Marion to divulge details of the tax referendum and how each district will benefit for years to come should the measure pass by a simple majority vote."Our goal here today is to inform the people of this county," said the group’s lead spokesman, Tim Bleyer, Carterville superintendent. "We want to provide good, honest information."Bleyer said the purpose of the tax — a 1-percent increase on sales tax would apply to all purchased items except groceries, state-titled vehicles and prescription drugs — is to allow the five districts to build, equip and finance school facilities."By securing the means to locally fund Williamson County school districts’ construction and abatement projects, voters will be in the forefront of all counties in Illinois," Bleyer said.
The Roving Feast: Thinking outside the chocolate box on Valentine's ...
Restaurants offer special menus, and aphrodisiac delicacies such as truffles, oysters and chocolate punctuate the bill of fare. Wines are brought up from cellars, dust blown off and corks twisted out, to commemorate this evening of romance. But what if you are without someone to lavish your affections on this Feb. 14? Or what if your partner is working or traveling or simply busy doing something else? What if you don't like the color pink or have an irrational aversion to anything shaped like a heart? This Valentine's Day I've decided that the evening of pampering will be devoted to a special person, the one who is with me through thick and thin, who often needs comforting and soothing and pampering. In other words, myself. It is a choice to be nice to myself, to enjoy my own company.
