Maybe CCA should have asked the three rising stars how they would feel about serving as photo advertisements for the school. James Syhabout, who heads PlumpJack Café's kitchen, is the most measured in his evaluation of CCA but he graduated in 1999, before the school was purchased by a large for-profit education company. "I know the school has definitely changed since I've been there," he said. Tim Luym, who cooks at the Poleng Lounge in Nopa, said he found the school "a little deceptive." He says no one explained that many graduates of the expensive school go on to kitchen jobs that pay $10 per hour. "They don't really give you the reality of how much you'll be making," he says. "They never give you financials." The third chef, Chris Kronner of the Slow Club in Potrero Hill, says the school does not have the best interest of the students at heart.

There is no telling what all Andrew went thru in that house. Poor kid, with those looney tunes for foster parents....... As far as calming the boy - they had been using behavior modification. After Andrew would have a full serving, if he asked for more, they would try something that they thought he wouldn't like in order to cause him not to want more. First they tried lemon, which didn't work because he ended up liking it. Then they tried spices, which didn't work because he ended up liking them, too. (Suggest removal) .

PARIS, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- A Paris auction of the late socialist French President François Mitterrand's personal belongings proved popular in Tuesday night, it was reported. About 300 people bid on Mitterand's trademark scarves, fedoras, slippers and other items, The Times Online reported. The auction sales totaled about $222,000, or more than twice the amount expected, the news Web site reported. The auction raised money for France Libertes, the charity of his his wife, Danielle Mitterrand. Dunno if you've seen the reports of Bishop Lamont saying that he believes Joell Got dropped, but what I have heard is that's a misunderstanding. Sure, there are people that get dropped from Aftermath. But Joell Ortiiz isn't one of them. From what I heard, he was really a bit tired of waiting and getting acclaim, but seeing no forward movement. Joell formally requested a release from Aftermath. I heard Dr. Dre really didn't want want to let him go, because he likes Joell. From what I hear, they both had a man-to-man conversation and they agreed to go their separate ways. I think it was a case where Interscope wants Detox and Em's next CD before anything and anybody. That means another year MINIMUM for anybody else barring a 50 Cent-type rapper. Joell didn't want to wait, I am hearing.
